Dear Sir

we have rec`d [received?] the truly disstressing [distressing?]
account of John's Death with the most
heart felt [heartfelt?] regret, the disstress [distress?] this
deplorable event will cause in your
Family we can more justly conceive than
those who have never experienced the loss
of so beloved a Friend _____
[We Feel?] it would be vain for us to offer
you any consolation, but
it will certanily [certainly?] be a source of much Comfort to
you to reflect on those Religious, and moral
precepts which in the hands of Providence
you were the means of instilling into his young
mind, and by which he was enabled to pass
through this world Free from the [snares?] of vice
and we trust to enter on a glorious Immortality
every day [I?] experience [?] to teach us more
that in this world we may expect only trials
and [?] and affliction and [?] that day
is fast approaching when we hope to meet
our dear Friends in another and a better world
with kindest love to all your
family [& all your Sister family?]
                   [illegible]

[addressed to:]
              Mr John Love
