| Transcript | GENERAL JACKSON Extract of a private letter from New York, dated November 7, 1834:- Our election is just closed, and a most triumphant one it has been for the Jackson democratic party, a majority having been gained of 2,500 out of 35,000. It has cost the aristocracy immense sums, besides what they lost in bets, but they are so completely humbled, that it will be years before they will raise their heads again. The Irish party have completely succeeded against the English. We shall have gold and silver in circulation. Look to it Johnny Bull. |
