| Transcript | 281 Regent Rd Salford March 31st 80 Dear Laurence & Mary Ann, We Recived your Kind Letter and we ware glad to Hear that you ware all well as we are all well at present, Thanks Be to God for all his Blessings to us. I am getting a great Deal Better My Selfe. I can walk about now without the Helpe of any thing and goe to Chappie the Same as Ever in the mornings. I Had a good Bill to pay the Dr But it Did not Signify when I got over it Sow Soon. William is Doing prety well in His Busness at presant. He was Delited when you Sent the papers to Heare of the grand repshepion [reception] that Parnell and Dillen got in Chicagoe. We have great Exitement Hear today. The Election is going of on Thursday the 1st of April. We think that the Librals will get in this time. William Has 2 vots one in Salford & one in Manchester. He is voting for the Librals this time. He is geting disgusted with the Tories. We got a Letter from Lizzie OToole unkie Johns Doughter the Day we got yours. She Said that the[y] ware all well and She Said She gets Letter often from you. She Said that the(y) ware making colections for the Distress in Ireland their. Dear Laurence, We Had very good weather all this month. We had not a Drop of Rain Since the 3d of march until this morning. The weather was grand for the farmers. If it wood continue we wood Have a Early crop this yeare and it wood Be very much wanted in Ireland. Dear Laurence & Mary Ann, I was very Sorry to Hear about Willies leg Been Hurted. He must not play with noty [naughty] Boys But always ceep away from them and Be a good Boy Himselfe. John & his wife are Doing well and Keeping Stedy without the logger [lager?] Beer.
