| Transcript | Insurance Chambers, 96 King William Street, Adelaide 5 Oct. 1899 My dear Mother I have only time to say that Abbie gave birth to a daughter at 5 a.m. this morning, and that both are well. I am nearly late for the mail, having had to attend to correspondence with Western Australian Federalists, whose general adviser I am in the matter of Federation. The gold fields want to join, but the politicians do not. I am advising on a Petition to the Imperial Parliament for division of the Colony, to allow the fields to join. With love to all Your affectionate Son P. McM. Glynn |
