Dear Sir
Inclosed[Enclosed?] you have Thos.[Thomas?] Scott's
second bill dated Charleston 16th Jany.[January?] 1823 in my
favour at thirty days on Doctr.[Doctor?] McCluney of your
city for six pounds fifteen shillings British Sterling
£6:15:0 equal to £7:6:3 Irish Sterling. The first
of same was sent by Charleston; this goes by way of Savannah
and is indorsed [endorsed?] to you or my brother James. You
can apply it to pay the schooling of Wm.[William?] J.[John?]

Charleston for funds and could not get to his friend until I
sent him this money. Bills run 1% premium on Europe.
Yours very truly
