| Transcript | 1868: December 1560 To Harriet Stewart, Acton, Ontario 15th Dec'r 1868 My dear Harriet Dear Harriet, I have sent out a little money to Mama to buy some thing for each of you, my four dear Grandchildren, as Christmas presents. I am going to give some little gift to every one of my Grandchildren. There are 38 besides your four. So you may suppose I have to think a great deal about you all but I thought it best to send some money to Mama though it is but a small sum to send so far but when each of the 42 have a little it all makes a large sum. I suppose you have a slate to do sums on so you can see it. And now I hope you may have a merry Christmas and a happy new year. Kiss your sisters and little Henry & love Your affectionate Grandma, E Stewart |
