An opportunity now offers of writing to you Which I did not Expect
in the Same Person it is no less than Jacob Forsythe son to my Uncle
Billy who is now going out an Adventurer to America I was within an
Ace of going with him but have now laid it aside he has taken out a Property to the Amount of 500£ I wrote you Twice before this one letter I
sent by a Belfast Ship and another by John Giffen in a Ship from Dublin
Mr Giffen is bound for Baltimore but will take a ship from thence to
Philadelphia and Will Deliver it into your own hands he is a young
man of Strictest Integrity and Greatest Friendship there has long subsisted
the Strictest Intimacy betwixt him and I and Im sure when he is
known to you you will be Charmd with him the Family is in good Health
and all friends arc well the next Letter you may Expect will be by the
Mary of Dorry which is to sail the 1st of May in her you may Expect
Jack (worn off) I am about to begin Business in Newtown which I flatter
myself will turn out to advantage Markets are Still Rising here Meal
Sold last market at 9s:6d and is Expected to Rise to 5s p Score American
wheat would Meet a good market here if sent in soon I Remn Dr Jock
