Allen Esq Faunoran Greenisland Belfast Ireland Augusta 17th December 1862 My Dear Sir I had this pleasure on the 8th instant, mentioning the investment of those Dividends that had come into my hands from the Stocks of yourself, your uncle James Campbell and his son William, in having received yesterday from the Geo [Georgia?] Rail Road and Banking Co. its Dividend of October last No.42 upon the following Shares. Wm. Jno. [William?] [John?] C. Allen 22 shares each 6$ = $132 James Campbell 17 shares each 6$ = 102 William Campbell 8 shares each 6$ = 48 $282 And also from the Bank of Augusta its dividend of 17th last month upon Wm. Jno. [William?] [John?] C. Allen 120 shares 4$ = $480 James Campbell 100 Do. 4$ = 400 William Campbell 42 Do 4$ = 168 $1048 I have purchased for the account of the above persons 8 Bales of Upland Cotton 4296 lbs at 17¬ Cents p [per?] lb = $741.06 7 Bales of Upland Cotton 3163 lbs at 17« Cents [per?] = 553.52 15 Commission (to H. C.
