| Transcript | To John Loyd, Stanford14 June 1756 Sir: I am favoured with yours of the 9th Instant. There is no goods of mine with you but one Chest of Tea, Marked WC.G & one Chest of Arms marked HH or WC. The goods you Shiped by OBryon are all seized, as well as his Sloop, entirely occasioned by his bad Conduct in coming down the sound when he ought to have gone round Long Island. If money will buy Peace for Captain Nealson & his Cargoe, pray dont let it be wanting. I dont regard 20 Pistoles4 extraordinary to have things done with safety. If you should see any great danger, order him to proceed to Philadelphia, but I hope you wont have reason to do. Pray have A Letter lying higher up to be put on board as he comes down. WC |
