Sir:

You are to proceed to new London & there wait To the 1st September, if
the snow Prince of Wales, Captain John Nealson, dis not Arrive sooner &
gett a load [of] goods out of her & proceed with them to Philadelphia
& deliver them as Messrs. John Scott & John McMichael may direct. Take
in what freight you can gett there for this place & with it come directly
here. In Case the Prince of Wales shoud not arrive before the 1 september,
Then you are to Return here with the sloop, as I will conclude she is lossed.
If Mr. Joseph Chew thinks its best for you to Cruze in the sound, pray do it & be directed by him. WC
