the Currency of this Market by desire of our Friends, Messrs. Pawson &
Noble, Merchants in Oporto, & if you should have the least thoughts of
doing any business in this place, by favouring us with A Line you may depend upon being advised of all the changes in this Market.
Salt, since War has been declared, is advanced from 2s to 4s/6d per Bushel
& is now much wanted which we expect will be the Case for some time.
The Great Crop [of] Grain of all sorts we have this Season makes us
expect the Price of Flower & Bread will soon lower. G&C
