Gentlemen:
Annexed you have Copy of our last by the Packet. We refered your
dispute with Wallace & Bryan to Mr. Redmond Conyngham & Mr. Henry
Harrison who gives it as their Oppinion that you have no right to
Damages on the Returned bill more then the Interest & Charges of protest,
as it was remited on Account of them Gentlemen & you run no risk. We
found out that Wallace & Bryan had some Goods from you which they
disputed taking for some time & proposed to have an Allowance of time
after they were due for the payment of them, but this they have dropt &
agrees to allow you Interest on all your Goods from the time they are due
by your account.
Annexed you have account of what Cotton we have bought for your
Account. G&C

[P.S.] There are 5 trench prizes brought in here within this 2 days bound
from Martinico to France loaded with suger, Cotton, & Coffee. Out of them
shall compleat your order for the cotton.
