| Transcript | To Thomas Light, London 12 September 1756 Sir: We are favoured with yours of the 22nd May by Mr, Russell who, we have the pleasure to Inform you, is very well. He likes the Country much better then he expected & desires his Compliments to you. He proposes to write you as soon as he gets himself alittle settled. The loss of Oswego2 is a great one to us & a very great help to the French to accomplish what they so long desired. We are in hopes we shall Rasle them, & indeed we may easily do it if we Joyns heartly lo it & the Provinces woud get out of their present Lettargy. The dutch trade is sloped entirely which will make India goods from your place Answer well. Annexed you have thier present prices. We expect they will advance much.
