Sir:

Your bill on Alderman Dunn dated the 30th April last is returned
Protested. It is for £30 Irish which I am obliged to pay with Twenty per
Cent damages & charges of Protest. I passed this Bill entirely to oblige
you. Indeed, such mistakes as this, which of late has happned frequently,
must bring officers bills in great discredit & make it hard for Gentlemen
to get cash for their Bills that has A right to draw.
Inclose this open to Robert Ross Esquire & request the favour of him
to get the affair setled with you in the most easey way which I hope youl
be able to do soon. WC
