Gentlemen:

We are sory we can give you now no more agreeable account of your
affairs with Messrs. Aspinwall & Doughty. The 9th Instant, they made out
A list of outstanding debts on your Account amounting to £228.15.1072,
Swore to it, & tendered the balance which is £34.14.10 which we received.
They offer to assign us over the outstanding Debts, but as we think they
can get them in sooner nor us, we leave them in their hands. There wont be
so much bad debts as we expected & hopes in A short time some of them
will come in that we may remit you. G&C
