| Transcript | To Mrs. Charles Bell, [Antrim] 24 November 1756 Honored Madam: I have the pleasure of your very agreable Letter of the 19th August by Daniel who arrived here the 12th Instant & has made a very good voyage for himself & as good a one for his owners. He begins to Load his vesel in a Day or two, and I hope will sail from this by the middle of January for Newry and Liverpool in the same Vessell which is to be the Last Voyage he goes in her, as he is to have a Larger Vessell for the same trade again he returns again, as he Pleases his owners Very well. I have taken frieght in the ship Waddell, Charles Stewart, Master, for fifty Hogsheads of Flaxseed for your account. She will Sail for Newry about the 24th December. I shall order the Value to be insured by my friend in London & I shall Charge your account with the Cost of it. I belive you'l Loose money by the Flaxseed this year. You must not mind that I Shall always Send you Fifty Hogsheads of Flax-seed while I stay here, & you must get Customers for them. It gives me great pleasure to hear Robert Douglas is in so Likely away of being a Captain. I Long to Hear the news. I almost forgot to tell you I called the ship Waddell after my unckle & your family. I hope this will Reach you in Christmas time. I wish you very merry ones. Pray Remember me to all Friends.
