| Transcript | To Hyde & Hamilton, [Manchester] 24 November 1756 Gentlemen: Our last was the 16th October to which please be refered. Since are favoured with yours of the 7th July and 1st September, and observe the Contents. Your Account has Credit for the two parcels of goods as made by you, and now we beg Leave to Inform you that Messrs. Touchets and Mr. Nealson1 of your place Shiped goods to this all the Last Season. Yards and 7B Cotton Checks at 17 per Ell. Linnen 1/2 Yards Cotton Check Number 1 at 13d, 7s Checks Number 1 12d, manchester Velvet Shapes 6d Each under your lowest, and the Velvet they Charge 7s for you Charge 7/6 per yard for, and in proportion for moast other goods. Now, Gentlemen, look at your lowest Charges and see if there is the Least Occasion to Keep yours Private. We by no means want to be on a Cheaper footing then other men, but pray let us be on the same terms with other men, and Let us have no more occasion to write on this very Disaggreeable Subject, and if you are not resolved to serve us on the terms we mentioned, you are not to Ship us the goods we now order, but inclose the order to Mr. Greg to get some other persons to Execute. We have not yet been able to compleat your order for the Cotton. We are in hopes of some Prizes being sent in dayly. If they should not ome in before Ihe Johnson, Daniel Cunningham Master, is Clear to ail for Newry and Liverpool, which we expect will be about the 20th of December, we Shall buy as much in Town as will make up what we have, 800 Sterling, and Ship it buy her, which you are to Govern yourselves by you see proper to Insure. We cold not meet with a Cargoe that would nswer in Liverpool or Should have Sent our snow Dirrictly there. We are in hopes we shall be able to Execute your order for French Indigoe, but if we Shoud not, you may depend upon being remitted the allance of the first Goods in Time. WC is surprised that Captain William Stewart did not remit you by the Rose the Sum he advised, as he has his Letter in which he writes positive that he would, but he makes no Doubt but it Comes to your hands before this. He will soon Remitt to you the Ballance of your Account. The Stays are come [to] hand, but we Dont Expect they will sell. The hirts we Expect will sell well on arrival.
