Dear Sir:

This will be deliverd you by Captain Joseph Brown, Master of the Brigg
Sally of Philadelphia, who goes consigned to you from said Port with
the Lumber, one Hundred Hogsheads of Flaxseed, & one Hundred Barrels
of Flower on the owners account, Mr. Samuel Mifflin. Our Friends
Messrs. Scott & McMichael ships on orders they have One Hundred
Hogsheads of Flaxseed for sundry People in your place & to you Two
Hundred Hogsheads of Flaxseed on our accounts, & the remainder of the
Cargoe is to be to your address on their & our account. We expect she will
carry 2,000 Bushels of Wheat & 200 Barrels of Flower, & on said
computation, we have this day ordered William Snell & Co. of London
to have £100 Sterling Insured on our goods by said Vessel from all
risks & £250 Sterling from all risks but that of the Enemy. So please when
you receive this, write Messrs. Snell & Co. to defer making Insurcance.
We expect she will sail the 20th Instant. G&C
