Sir:

We are just now favoured with yours of the 25th September Via
Philadelphia. The Countess of Coventry is not yet arrived. When she
dis, we shall make the most of your goods. They are mostly sold here at
Twelve Months credit & are Slow Sale & but a poor Proffit.
As you seem to desire very speedy remittances, we shall ship for your
account in the ship Waddell Charles Stewart Master, Fifty Hogsheads
of Flaxseed. She is bound to Newry, will be clear IO sail about 1st
January, & the Flaxseed will stand 28s/6 British Sterling per Hogshead,
which your [to] govern your self by if you see proper to Insure. Please to
give your Friend in Newry directions to take of it. As soon as we come
in Cash for your goods, you may be assured the remainder of their
proceeds shall be remitted as we think most for your advantage. G&C
