| Transcript | To Scott & McMichael, [Philadelphia] 3 January 1757 Gentlemen: I am favoured with yours of the 30th past & observe the Contents. Pray take the first oppurtunity to ship my Flaxseed & let me know what you have done with Falls Rum. I am very uneasy about it. Of the Flaxseed by Crathorn, there is a parcel of Seed Marked FM has but 61/2 to 3/4 Bushells in the Hogshead. Be so good charge the man you bought it of for the wastage & credit G&C & let us know how much it is. Indigoe sells from 8s to 9s per pound, so I cant execute your order. There is report here that a Prize belonging to your Privateer Demery was Spoke on the Coast. If so I expect she'll put in her[e]. Try to get me the Agency. The Vessell from Rhode Island is arrived. I dont think shei do for you. She is a Fregat of 280 Tons built six years agoe in Old France. [WC] |
