Dear Brothers I intend troubling you a little. As being my first request and I trust as faithful subjects and Brothers you will not fail sending same (ie) the sum of £3..os.od. By remitting me this to purchase a mule would be the greatest means of making me comfortable through life. At sending for this to you Dear and affectionate Brothers I did not acquaint my Father or mother of it. I would be capable of getting through life well enough but meeting with disappointments these two years past with regard of being unwell myself that left me deficient of money at present. Therefore if you remit me the above sum it will flourish me through life moreover as I got well in health thank God for his gracious gifts.
