| Transcript | Buffalo April 15th 1853. Dear Brother. I was very happy to hear from home, am glad to know that they are all doing well. Our business is slacking up a considerable since the opening of navigation - but still doing a good passenger business. The passenger receipts of Month of March was $32.752 receipts for freight $21.572, or as near as I can recollect, however this goes to show that the road is paying well. I will be up to Erie next week, or as soon as one of our office clerks returns. I am well, like the place very well, have nothing more of interest to tell you now until I go up, but remain as ever Your brother Thomas Carse |
