New York, November 14th, 1899.

Messrs. Joshua E. Peel & Son,
Armagh, Ireland.

Dear Sirs:-

Terence P. Rafferty died in Columbus, Ohio,
September 25th last, leaving an estate valued at
about $40,000, two-thirds of which is in New York
City. The heirs at law are Michael Rafferty, of
Columbus, whom we and Mr. Elwood Murphy, solicitor,
of Columbus, represent, and Patrick Rafferty, of
Maddan, County Armagh, Ireland. Mr. Russell, of
this firm, and Mr. Michael Rafferty have been
appointed administrators of the estate and we
suggest that you communicate with Patrick
Rafferty with a view of representing his interests.
This arrangement would enable us to speedily wind
up the estate without the necessity of Patrick
Rafferty's coming to America.

Very truly yours,
Carter, Hughes & Dwight
