| Transcript | Royal Hotel Palm Thursday night My dear Jim, Your letter reached me this morning. Am sorry now I had not more patience and waited a little longer, but the fact of us leaving here so soon made me quite anxious as to whether the parcel was sent all right as the clerks here are not over anxious about things. Mrs. Mellon complained only a few days ago about a letter of hers that was forwarded to Boston. Of course, I know this is an immense place that requires constant attention to see things are in order. I am so glad you liked it all right. I wanted you to have some rememberance [sic] from Miami. Well, I am sorry for leaving as I never enjoyed myself better. Always had a good time. The people I met were very nice. In most every walk of life there comes the time for that sad word good bye, but still such is life. We go from here to a place called Palatka. Moving north and coming nearer home, but before we get to Pittsburgh we expect to go to New York for a few weeks, and I guess we will not leave Florida before 15th April. The fact of us going to be some time in New York will, I hope, enable me to see your cousins in Brooklyn, as I will make an extra effort to get them this time. What do you suppose a few days ago Mrs. Mellon gave me a nice new camera, and I must say am most busy taking pictures. I have a few at the office to be developed. Perhaps I will send you some if they are good. I was so glad. You too are having the picture craze - but poor me must always have some kind of craze, and it might as well be one as another.
