| Transcript | 56 Glen Road Andersonstown Belfast 17: 1: 14 Dear Aunt Susan I was indeed very glad to get your nice letter & Photos just in time for Xmas All of us were so delighted to see you & your dear Great Grand Children. You are looking fine for your age & we all hope & trust that you will be spared for many years yet. Lydia got the xmas card too and wishes to thank Hannah for sending it to her. You will be glad to learn, dear Aunt, that all of us are quite well at present God. Lydia was not so very well for some time before Xmas as one of her sisters died in the Royal Vic. Hospital here last August after an opperation for Appendicitis, so of course that knocked her about a good bit. – Well now dear Aunt – I was not a little surprised to learn about our family connection. It is as you say something to be proud of, and after all I suppose there never was any money left to the family I shall be glad if you can send me the paper with the report of the Seymour family in it. I sent you a paper last week containing reports about “Home Rule,” I will D.O. send you another later on. We don’t want “Home Rule” or more strictly “Rome Rule” here in the North & I fear very much that if the Government insist in granting it there will be Civil War. All Protestants here are drilling preparing for it. If we require help from Canada we hope our people there won’t forget us. We must hope that all may yet be settled peacefully. If not we know that God is with us, in Him is our trust & we will win. Now dear Aunt I trust that these few lines will find you all well. Lydia & Children unite with Me in love to you & all our American Cousins, hoping to hear from you soon again I remain as ever your affect. Nephew Wm Seymour. P.S.
