Dear Brother
The Rev. Mr. Wallace showed me a letter written to him by you. I was very happy to hear from
you as it has been so long since we met. But now, thank God, since you have endeavored so
hard to find out where I was I think I would be very ungrateful not to write to you.
I am employed by the year with a man by the name of R.M. Todd Esq. As he is a farmer, I can
not go to see you this summer, but I think I will go to see you in the winter if you do not come
here before then. Business here for a working man is very good. A person can always get work
in the mills for pretty good wages.
Direct to the care of EM. Todd Esq., Milltown St. Stephen. Write me on receipt of this and
inform me what your employment is
I remain your affectionate brother, Patrick Hughes.
