Dear Father & Mother & all the rest

I am going to be disappoint[ed] about getting home today so I thought I would have to write Rex has been very lame and they could not find out what was the matter with him till this morning they found that the foot was [corked] was gathering It broke this fornoon and he is a good deal better I hope he will be all right by Saturday for I must get home by that time I wish some of you were here I thought we would get up tonight and bring someone down I hope Edna is better and the rest all well [Man] went out to William Mckeel’s Saturday and got a barrel of apples Tell Frank I can make him apple pies now Mr & Mrs Lilas Short was here calling the night we were home George McKeel and his niece The parsons daughter was here Saturday afternoon and Charlie and Bertie in the evening We went to meeting Sunday morning and church in the afternoon It was such a nice morning I Expected some of you down Monday evening Mr & Mrs Leverett & Mr & Mrs Sam Belyea were here in the evening I washed Tuesday & had quite a washing There was eleven shirts four of them was white I just got them rolled up a while ago In the evening we went over to Mr Belyea to have a sing [Man] & Well want me to go up to Charlie G. this afternoon They think it would do the horse good to give him a little exercise When I can’t go home I would rather not go any place but suppose I had better I wish Well could get to town I am anxious to get the house all fixed up.
Mr and Mrs Lee Nutter were at church Sunday They said the were coming here before they go away They intend going the last of the week
I suppose I had better stop writing and get ready to go up there If nothing happens it is likely I will be home on Saturday
Perhaps some of you will be down before that Don’t work to hard
