Dear Edward

I hope that you are well in good with the help of god you have A poor
winter in your mothers house I herd that John was going in the best thing you can do is to sell
so much of the place as will pay you he have John bougth or trying to he dont burtiboge good
enough for him now he he wants to go to chatham to live and [leave] you in side you spent to
much time there pat and his young ones are to [kute] for you all you do is pray dont say much
to Sullivan he is A [bladder] you mind your self [&]you will be all right please you
