| Transcript | My Dear Cousin X I received your letter the other day was glad to hear from you, but sorry to have kept you waiting so long, however there was a letter on the road for you when you wrote I hope you got it before this. Your girl is quite well I delivered your message she seemed quite pleased, really, Johnie I think more of that girl every day, she says to me, your cousin will think we are an awful bold crowd up here, and that I am spoiling you, he will think that we talk of nothing else but fellows but Johnie don’t you think that it was long ago she I was spoiled. Well dear me I don’t know what to write you, my cold is all better now, how is Katie, you want to be careful and not get the mumps. Well have you been to see Maggie since. It seems to me that you do not go very often, what is the trouble, you must tell me all about it when you write. You did well to hold onto your wild horse, how did it get frightened. Well Johnie I intended to write you a good long letter to day, but Kept putting off, so when Mary was writing I thought I would write a note and then send you a letter some time through the week.
