[Letter 2]

Dear Sir
I am writing this [piece?]
for mother, Tilda Jane said far more
nor you know about she told Bella
McFarland that you had a very bad
name about Woodslee but we did not talk
about it, we think that she is doing her
best to put ill between you and them but
you can watch yourself as well as possible
The reason that Uncle John is not
writing the day that Aunt Eliza was buried
he was wanting to put the McAnultys in under
Aunt Eliza to give her the first lift And
there was a good deal not pleased at him
and mother said a good deal till [to?] him
the next time he was in and there was none of
them in here since that nor I suppose wont so
that is the reason

[Top of Page 2]
we dont believe that any of them sent
anything about you home in any letters

[Top of Page 1]

if you cant agree with them
mother says to tell you that
you can come home again
