September 1st 1892

Dear Brother

I intend writing
you a few lines to let you
know how we are all doing
father and mother went to
the shore on Tuesday they
went by Strabane and then
took the train to derry
and on to the downhill we
have got a letter from them
today and they have very rough
weather there too so stormy that
they had not took [sic] a bathe
when they wrote they told us
that if it would not settle they
would come home again Tuesday
I suppose mother will see
wonders this time for she
was saying before she left
that she never was in a train

[Page 2]
They have got their
pictures taken at derry so
I think it is almost time
since you wanted them they
were for going to Omagh to
get then took [sic] and then
they took a notion that they
wold [would?] get them better
done in derry and the one
journey would do we will send
them as soon as possible
Dada had this letter wrote
before he went away and he
allowed me to finish it and
tell you that they went away
at the shore, Andrews [Andrew?]
McKelveys ones was [sic]
at derry coming from the shore
when the [they?] went that length
and John Huston [Houston?] they
say that there are [sic] nobody
at it but themselves now
No more this time
Bella M [Margaret?] Smyth
