Dec 29 1892

Dear James
With regard to
the Worlds fair I am afraid
we will not go over your
mother would not like
to chance the ocean I have
been reading over the paper
some of you sent and I think
them that will not go will be
the wisest as I am afraid it
will Be the Death Bed for
many and that you will here
[hear?] I would advise none of you
to go to it. The fiddle is
not much played on John Tomy
[Tommy?] [nor?] William [None?]
takes [her?] in there [their?] hands
D. Henry plays some when he
comes round it was one year
exact Before he come in after
you left This He comes now
twice a week -

him and a few others
is going to join the Orange
men in to morrow [tomorrow?]
night so we will have Good music
in the lodge in future.
I do not know who the
others is I will Be able
to tell you next week
Bella thinks the machine
is plenty for hir [her?] Besides
if you would be heard of
Getting an organ you
would be laughed at
What is not common
in this contery [country?] you
would be as well without it.
But she thanks you very
much for your offer.
William tells me to give
Bella [Belle?] his best thanks
for the present she sent
him its very nice and well
done we all admire it very
much.

Bella when she writes next
week will thank hir [her?] for hir
[her?] self I wrote to Annie
and I sent hir [her?] our picture
the one that was dark golden
we are glad to hear of them
Being all in good helth [health?]
Give them our best
respects if you be writing
to them let Cassie
know that Bella and
some of the rest will
write next week She had
not time today with [haried?]
work we are glad you
have joined the temperance
I hope the meetings is Better
conducted there than here
Bella will give you all
how the [they?] are managed and
she talk [talked?] at some of them
even in the Sabbath School on
Sunday morning

Whither was it James Ballantyne
William or Charles that went
to see you I supose [suppose?] they are
all well I supose [suppose?] you
think it strange to not be
in a presbyterian meeting house
it’s a wonder the [there?] are none of
them about there
I have heard Mr. Duncan had
sent you a letter last week
all your friends is all well
I think this letter is nearly
as long as yours so I will
bid you good By for
