My Lord,

We have received the favor [favour?] of your
Lordships Letter of the 24 Inst [Instant?], and we
shall have pleasure in making the payment of œ500 to
the Marmora Iron Work Company, Canada, with Miss
Overend & Compy [Company?], as you wish. As however we
are thus placed in advance on your account about œ180,
we have thought it right to mention the circumstance,
in case your Lordship may wish to give your agent any
instructions on the subject.

We have the honor [honour?] to be
My Lord,
Your Lordship's most obedient
Humble Servants
