[Pennsylvania?] Ballyatticoch 20 February 1824 To Matthew & John Dalzell My Dear Brothers I lift up my pen for the last time, in in this Country to Inform you that we are All well, thanks Be to the Almighty God for his goodness to us, Hoping these lines May find you All in the same happy way, we received one Letter from you About two weeks Ago Dated the 24th of November, which we are All very much [Inducted?] to you for your Invitation And happy to hear of your prosperity - we wrote three Letters giving Ann [an?] Account of the Sales we Have made &c, which I hope you recd [received?], And now my Dear Brothers, I am Happy to Inform you that we have Ingaged [Engaged?] our passage in the Ship Thomas Gibbons For Baltimore Randil Pullin Master, She is A fine Ship, 500 Hundred Tons Burthen, we give £42 for Six Births [Berths?], And Brother Wm [William's?] two Children gets free, I went to Belfast yesterday to know positivley [positively?] the time She would Sail That I Could write you a true Account the Captin [Captain?] told me she would positively Sail the First of March - I write this By the Packet to Sail the first Tuesday in March Now I think By the time you receive these lines that we will Be Near to Baltimore When we Land at Baltimore Ill [I`ll?] write you A few Lines If you Intend to meet my Father & mother By the time this reaches you we will be in Baltimore For my Brothers & me [I think?] we will Start to Pittsburgh on foot when we rest A Day or two - your Brotherinlaws [Brothers-in-law?] are Both well the [they?] Say the [they?] will go next year So no more at present But Remains your, Waiting with Impatince [Impatience?] Until the vessel Sails James Dalzell |
