Dear friend Anna I received your
kind and welcomb [welcome?] letter some time ago
and have been so busy that it
seemed when night come I could not
hold my head up Anna I hope you
will forgive me for not writing
before I want to hear from you so
bad that I dreamed of you last night
and I thought I had better try to
write well Anna this is the 7 and I
have just got around to write a little
more it dont seem as if I can
content myself any more to do anything
I am fonder of my old friends
than all the new ones put to gather
[together?] Well Anna I know that you are
well for I heard from their [there?] last
week that is the first I have heard
in near 6 weeks but he wrote the
first letter I am very glad he has
got a better place I have been
thinking about you all down their [there?]
to night my mind has been
wandering all over their [there?] is a going
to be a Mask party hear [here?] the
31. of this month I wish you
and Lina could come up and
go I think it would be pleasant
I am going I am having my suit

I will write you a good long
letter I would like to just
peep in at you this minute I would

name it has any way I will
be glad when I get back to Pontiac
