Mr Robert Moore

Dear Sir,
I received your
letter yesterday in answer
to mine of the 17th Nov
and will give you all
the information you
desire in referance [reference?] to
the ownership of the place
in Carn.
Father left no written
will but it was his expressed
wish and desire that
the place should
belong to me.
I would have written
to you as my Sister stated
in her letter to you but
thought it better to wait
for your answer as
she had told you what
my Fathers wishes were
in referance [reference?] to the place.
In my letter to you
we all signed our
names so that you might
see we are all perfectly
satisfied as to the way
the place has been
disposed of. I do not
think that any of the
family care about
going there to live
and as you say the
times are hard and you
could not advise a sale
at present. I prefer waiting
to what you consider a
good opportunity offers
thanking you for your
prompt reply to my
letter and hoping
this will be satisfactory
to you I wish
you a Merry
Christmas and happy
New Year.

I remain
Respectfully
yours
[Daniel?] Doherty
