Minnie is well She was up some time ago Grange Newtownstewart 31..5..1900 My dear Bella, It was so very kind of you to write so soon to me & I enjoyed you [your?] nice letter I [know?] no one that can write a letter like you when you [begin?] [&?] I may tell you when I read your letter to My Mother she says the same. So it is no flattery on my part. I do trust dear Bella that you are all enjoying good health at present as I am so thankful to say we are. And I suppose you are one & all getting over poor Willies' death I don t like to mention it Annie & I had letters from Tilda & tell her I often think & pray for her & sometime soon I will write We are pretty busy now & will be for a fortnight I suppose as we are thinking of white washing & doing up a little for the summer We have our field work well on Jerry has some Aberdeen turnips some as well as the Swedes. So he works pretty well some times. We have got a very good boy this term but a Catholic no matter if he does his work He is after the nature of Armoror. He was stopping on in his old place so Jerry fell in with this boy & we like him well. He is for drawing home a Stack of old turf tomorrow so he has his harness all cleaned & the buckles all shining which is a very good sign of taste & neatness. I was glad to hear of Mary getting in to Mrs [Nelsons?] I hope she will like it & get on well 2 yrs & 1/2 is a long time to serve at the plums but time wears in I often wish I had finished my time, but no one [knows?] what is in store for them sometimes I feel I would like to go as an improver to the millenery [millinery?] then?] we have all work enough at home & little for it. Sometimes I say when I am flurried, I will go & (marry) -"wouldnt you", then one cant do that alone so there you are still it might come to that yet who knows. Dont fret about the rice-plant dying I will be able to give you another one Mine is flowering & my flowers are doing very well for so far. but I hope you will have the pleasure of seeing them soon as yous [you?] must bring Tilda down to see us some day when we get squared up a bit I dont want to be caught again in a mess. So dont forget to secure my fern & have it to bring down with you. I was in Omagh last Friday & I was looking at Crawford s flowers I purchased none do you remember the day we bought the Aurelias. There was a party from Newtownstewart at [Barness?] gap on the [Queens?] Birthday James Moore from [Grange s?] you remember him & Sister was there He says had he known I would have gone he would have asked me but I said no. I'm sure I would not have gone with them all the same. There is a good excursion to Belfast to-day. [2s.?] for return that Is cheap but the journey is so far. The good templars are having one to Bundoran some-time soon I dont just know the day for 2s same fair I dont know whether any of us will go or not unless one was going to stop for a week they could go cheap. How are all the folks I used to know getting on give them all my kind regards has A McCleeland any notion of a wife yet or Andy Ballentine I never hear a word about the people & the Hamiltons or Wee Sam. I had a letter from Louisa Campbell before she [left?] Plum saying she would send me one Saralis Memorial Cards but I have not seen it yet What about John & Joe [Tildy?] did they ever come home to see Tilda. Be sure [&?] write soon & give me all the news shouldnt take you 2 days doing so.
