TranscriptTo Mr William [G.?] Smith [Carrickmacross, Ireland?]

From:
Liverpool 2d Sept [September?] 1844

Dear William,
I herewith
enclose the orders & list of
cash & should have done
so at first but considering
how systematically all
your office business is
managed I conceived your
counterparts of orders would
have answerd [answered?] as a perfect
check on the Gross amt [amount?]
Your Brick, clay, aye
& even the Coal would
have been safely stowed
away in Your Kingdom
of Farney long since, had
you not defered [deferred?] sending
me orders till [until?] the Rough
Weather set in -
However from
the way the wind has been
for some days tis almost
certain the Good Ship
has ere this arrived in the
Port of Dundalk -
I shall be glad to hear
from you that all
is right at your earliest
convenience
Most truly Yours
Thos [Thomas?] Elliott

Mr Wm G Smith
