Transcript | To Mr W.G. Smith Carrickmacross Ireland From: L.pool [Liverpool?] 10 April 1847 Dear William, I am glad to have so gratifying an acct [account?] from you of your Food business at [Derrylavan?], & trust the spring labour being brisk causes the diminution. I shall attend to your people coming tomorrow which with great dif -ficulty [difficulty?] I have been enabled to secure Room for - Such is the fact that there is not this day one ship open for either New York, Boston, New Orleans, or Quebec, all being filled up at extraordinary rates, and the Numbers pourring [pouring?] in off every Boat beyond description. Please hold back any others till [until?] towards the 25th Inst [Instant?] on till [until?] I can advise satisfactorily. I really have not time to thank you in proper terms for all the pains taking [painstaking?] you are at on those occasions but will try to do it personally first opportunity after the bustle is over.
