Transcript | Dear Fanny, I Received your previous letters of 12th and 30th May I am happy to hear of your family living all well I am happy to relate to you that Sampson Brady is the bearer of this as his trade is not a goods one in this country he will explain to you and give you the news of this country better than I at present can write. You mention that you would not advise me to go home but I know unless I have some past of my own I will never get anything if I am to have a chance to go to advantage in the employ of any Ship Owners I know it would serve me theres one thing I wish as a request of you that should I not succeed in Buisness [business?] must I will go to any part of the west Indian Islands or where ever God pleases. His will is my guard let my luck be ever so bad my request is the Gold Watch my uncle wore my Mother has She made a promise I should have it now time out allows me to multiply many words but dont neglect my advance.
