Belfast 25 May 1847
My dear Sir
I had the pleasure on the 22 inst
to which I refer. The Sloop "Anne" arrival
here yesterday when the Master handed me
your form of the 20th - with Cheque of #50 and
agreeably to your request I have purchased
32 Barrels Indian Corn Meal American ground
38 lb Barrel. I have also purchased the
Rice - [viz?] 3 Tons Carolina @ #28.10p pr [per?] Ton
and 2 Ton [Brokra?] Patna @ 25 -
both of excellent quality. They will [commence?]
loading this afternoon or tomorrow morning
and when all are shipped I shall get
Bills of Lading & forward you them with rect. [receipt?]
of the Rice and Meal.

I have instructed the Master of the "Anne"
when to get the two Tons of Indian Meal
from the Commissariat Stores - and he will
get it at any time he is ready to take
it on [board?]. He expects to get his
loading completed tomorrow.
