Transcript | 24/5/47 1st The Commissioners will be prepared to recommend grant of equal amount to the sum Mr Gage proposes to subscribe, - and should further sums be contributed additional grants may be obtained. 2nd The Commissioners will only hold the committee acountable for the expenditure of such sums as are placed at their disposal for administering relief, and not for any sums which may be placed at the [indididually?] disposal of its members. 3rd If the committee consider it unnecessary to require the attendance of the clerk it need not be enforced, but no irregularity should be permitted on this account. 4th The distribution of rations for more than one day yet is apprehended will lead to many abuses but if the Finance Committee and the Inspecting officer consider the circumstances to warrant a deviation from the daily [?] the commissioners will not object. |
