Transcript | [13 November 1871?] Dear cousins I write these few lines only for to let you now we are all well. Would have rote [wrote?] a letter to you before this only I was waiting time after time to get a letter from Hannah, Elizabeth and your picture. We can't get our picture taken or we would send them. But as soon as we can get them taken we will send them but we do not know of anyone taking them now. Aunt Margery and family is well. Thomas and Hannah is all the family she has, only she has Ann's 2 boys. Yet Thomas is good to her and is working well at home. Aunt Ellen, husband and family is well at home. Aunt Ellen, husband and family is well. Uncle Patrick, wife and family is well and father is well. So we send our love to all our aunts and cousins. So no more at present, but we remain your loving cousins Mary, Catherine, and Nancy Gallagher Write soon [See letter Thomas Gallagher to Catherine Hunt dated 13 November 1871 - the above letter written on back of the other. Also biographical notes by J. Patrick Gallagher - address as title to this document. Notes: Both sides of the letter are in the same handwriting, believed to be that of daughter Mary. The elder Mary, sister to Thomas, was born in 1798 and died on 12 November 1878. Never married. Aunt Margery married to (?), and had three children: Hanna, Ann, And Thomas. Ann is believed to have died after having two young boys, who were raised by Margery. This letter was copied from the original by: J.
