Dear Mother I recieved your kind and welcome letter
and I also got the letter abel sent I was very happy
to hear of you all being well when your letter was
wrote but was sorry to read of thomass [thomas'?] Death
and of John being unwell I am well enjoying good health
thanks be to god for it I would like very well to come
home and see you all but but I would not like to come
unless I had money enough to support me without hard
labour if I would happen to be very fortunate I might
come home sooner than I think of, you desire of me to
send you some money here is a draft for the sum of ten
pounds sterling on the royal bank of ireland enclosed
in this letter for you and it is paid for the sending
of it all the way through three dollars and ten cents
I am going to write a letter to William soon and as
for andrew I do not expect any account from him

i am still living in the same place
write as soon as you get this Jenny lind
