| Transcript | Sanfrancisco [San Francisco?] november the 9th Dear cousin sarah I recieved [received?] your letter I have very good health I have Been out of town working for some time I was sorry about my mothers death but it was what I expected I was sorry that I had no money to send her when she was alive but I cannot help it now I was sorry that I didn't come and see her Before she died I know you must had a good deal of trouble and Expenses I am not able to send any money now but if I am spared I will some time I am sorry to hear that you are all in such poor health I send my respects to you all I remain your affectionate cousin James Gamble I will send you a newspaper this time |
