Sept. 10th

My Dear Brother and Sister,

You must not blame me for not writing before but when
I tell you my little flower left me on the 29th July at
3 pm you will understand I could not bring myself to write.
I am all alone and not feeling myself just at present. The
intense heat of this summer was too much for her, so she
just drooped away. Of course this puts a stop to all my
plans for some time to come. Uncle Will Gibson is very ill
also, so we have a good deal of trouble. A letter I sent Capt.
McConnel some time ago was returned to me from Washington,
I had forgot to put the proper adress on it. Please excuse
this I feel I cant write any more just now.

With best love to all,

From your affectionate

Sister Mary

P.S. I will stay here for a few weeks longer so adress here.
