Transcript | [Front of Envelope] Mr James Alexander Smyth South Woodslee Box 23 Essex County Ontario Canada [Stamped] N.T.Stewart[Newtownstewart] - MR 3 92 Ireland [Written upside down in right corner] R [Received] March 17th 1892 [Written upside down at top of page] James A Smyth St Woodslee Ont [Back of envelope] [Stamped] PLUMBRIDGE C MR 3 92 [Stamped] SOUTH WOODSLEE MR 17 92 [Page 1] Castledamph March 3rd 1892 Dear Cousin In answer to your letter which I received in due time and was glad from you I hope you will excuse me for not writing sooner I had a letter wrote last week but when I went to look for William Hayes address I could not get it but I have it now I think your own ones sent Barbara McKernans address I see by your letter you have a fine time of it over there I think them that is at home has not so good fun Anyway you get lots of parties I think the young people must be very agreeable over there [Page 2] I am sure it is nice to [sic] sleighing through the snow this has been a very severe winter here the labour is very far back yet and it looks like a storm of snow again I suppose you like to be working with the horses you can take such loads on the sleigh The Glensass parthers will be all for Omagh again monday if it does not be settled this time I think they will soon get tired of it they are out such a lot of money with it I saw your Uncles house it looks very nice it surely cost a good deal to put it up I saw your Cousin Annie and her Husbands pictures and I think they are a very nice young couple [Page 3] I have no notion of going on the force now I am thinking about going to America soon the next letter I send you I will be able to give you more news Jeramiah [Jeremiah?] Reid has bought a house below straburn he is going down to it today it is a public house and he is taking Liza Orr with him there is some talk about them going to get married I suppose the weather is cold there yet it is cold enough here and I am sure it is worse over there I hear Willie John Duncan is going over there this Summer Old Margaret Duncan is dead she did not make any will they will have some law about it too [Page 4] the Hustons [Houston?] thought that they would have it all to themselves but they will not and that is a great mistake but it is the price of them.
