Peel & son Dear Sirs I received your letter some time ago to get the copy [--?] of Will signed by the British Consul I have got it done but had to go to Boston a good many times before I would be acknowledged as the man So I went and got a letter from the Secretary of State Mr [Olin?] & with Senator L. E. Chamberlin of this city. I was recognised as the man. Mr Peel I am glad that my sister has got a man like you to look after her case I believe her claim is a just claim & I trust you will be able to get her what Lawfully belongs to her and her Child. he died in one of our Houses was as rationally when he died & made his will as any man on earth he Knew of the trouble was coming & he believed it was best for him to make his Will which he did in good faith.
