| Transcript | To: His Aunt [Anne or Matilda Reford?], [Antrim?], [County Antrim?], [Ireland?]. From: J. [James?] Banks Reford, [Bloomfield?], [New Jersey?], [U.S.A.?], [Circa 1899?]. [fragment of letter] had no idea we could get into [Pekin?] so soon. We are in the heat of another Presidential election, but I am keeping quiet. I made a short talk before one of our local clubs on Friday evening. And will stop at that. It is going to be a close election. Yesterday was the 41st Anniversary of our marriage. I hope you will not time your answer by my answering your's and let me know if Wm. [William?] Wylie found you. I can't account for not seeing or hearing from him. We all join in love and best wishes for your health. Your loving Nephew J. [James?] Banks Reford. |
