Heather - now living in N.York Dear James I have recd [received?] there of the 15th Ult wishing me to remit then what is under my care will in the Dungannon Savings Bank that is coming to comply with thy request in getting done with thy brother John's child and to remit the other part to his widow in Canada who is married to [-------?] Heather and in [own?] that I may get quit of all legally, thought [has?] to consult attorney Newton who advised me to get thy rec [record?] in full of all demands on the [----ful?] stamp stamp, which I now enclose for thee to date and sign and forward me, drawn by him, except the sum, which is in my writing and as there is an erasure in it just write at the bottom of the [----?] in thy writing - fifty seven pounds seven shillings and ten pence sterl [sterling] and on the other side I send a copy of what is necessary instructions for them to write me on the subject which [------?] do verbatim - I also send [----with?] a copy of the Dungannon Savings Bank passbook act [account?] by which thou will see these will be int [interest?] for this year up to the time it will be taken out to add to the amts [amounts?] I have to remit which I expect thou art not [-----?] but will be as faithfuly [faithfully?] sent as the other part. I understand the Int [interest?] allow Savings Bank has been further [------?] by order of our government thou will [------?] I have only deducted the half of the 5 debt off the [w----?] share, as I [------?] it only [-----?] that the childs part be made subject to the other half , which then can do with as [thou?] thinks proper on [----ing?] it away On enquiry I find that Jas. [James?] [Dukin?] is in [Bunn----?] Derry Harrington [Dukin?] is deceased and Alexander Little is in business in Ballygawly - Dr Hamilton and [Mrs?] Douglas are both living but I have not seen them since I [----?] [----?] - Robt [Robert?] Smith and Alexr [Alexander?] MacKenzie died this month, both after [-----------?] What was the matter with thy son that died - [----?] the [----put?] of trade here for the winter [season?], cutter I could give Geo [George?] [------?] [recommend?] to come over [-------?] that bad as things may be in america that they must be worse here - it is hard to think money [------?] more difficult to keep when it is made.
